Round steel refers to solid, bar-shaped steel with a circular cross-section.
Round steel specifications are expressed in diameter, in millimeters (mm). For example, 50mm indicates round steel with a diameter of 50 millimeters. Round steel is divided into three types: hot-rolled, forged, and cold-drawn. Small round steel, 5.5-25 mm, is mostly supplied in bundles of straight bars, commonly used as reinforcement bars, bolts, and various machine parts. Round steel larger than 25 mm is mainly used for manufacturing machine parts or as seamless steel pipe billets
